what sets us apart
Our Process
Our goal is to ensure a consistent, repeatable process for all customers, providing an exceptional experience each and every time.
Our Process
Before Building
Sales
During the initial stage, we generate sales leads through phone calls, website contact forms, or referrals. Our sales team contacts you within 24 hours to qualify you based on your project’s scope of work, location, and budget. If you qualify, our General Contractor (GC) will arrange a site visit to gather detailed information and develop a rough high/low estimate proposal based on square footage and type of work (e.g., addition, new build). We email you the proposal and a Pre-Construction Agreement for review and approval within 5-7 days of the site visit.
To proceed with Trinity Homes AZ, you must approve the proposal and sign the GC Agreement. At this time, we collect a non-refundable fee, which rolls into your construction costs if you choose to move forward with a General Contracting Agreement at the end of the Pre-Construction phase.
Pre-Construction
This phase begins when you sign a Pre-Construction Agreement. We thoroughly examine your project’s scope of work through your completing a project questionnaire. We’ll connect you with architects, engineers, designers, and trade partners based on your project’s needs. Our estimating team collects bids from trade partners and creates a Line-Item Estimate Budget, allocating allowances for finishes like lighting and plumbing fixtures.
The goal of Pre-Construction is to finalize an accurate Line-Item Estimate Budget and sign a General Contractor Agreement, which engages Trinity Homes AZ to begin building or renovating your home at an agreed-upon price, schedule, and payment terms. Once signed, the Project Manager takes over, guiding your project through the Planning, Production, Closeout, and Warranty phases.
Our Process
The Building Process
Planning
The Planning phase starts after the Pre-Construction Handoff Meeting, with a 30-day window to plan your project. The Project Manager organizes temporary site items (e.g., dumpster, portable toilet, temporary fencing) and issues purchase orders to our trade partners. We identify any long-lead items and plan their integration into the schedule to make selections and order materials promptly. During this phase, we also complete any necessary site work or reviews before Trinity’s work begins, such as staking the lot or utility trenching.
Production
The Production phase commences with on-site work, typically beginning with demolition. This phase spans from demolition and foundation to electrical and plumbing trim installation. You’ll receive weekly schedule and project updates from your Project Manager, who will also guide you through any remaining selections and decisions. This phase involves several site walks and more of your involvement, including electrical and tile site walks. You can track your home’s progress on our project management website, Buildertrend, and view daily log updates and photos. Once your home is deemed “Substantially Complete” by Trinity Homes AZ or a governing authority (via a Certificate of Occupancy or C of O), the project transitions to Closeout.
Our Process
After Closing
Close Out
Upon receiving a C of O, the Trinity Homes AZ team creates an internal punch list and schedules a Homeowner Orientation Walk. We typically allocate 10 days, or two weeks, to complete these items before you move in. At move-in, Trinity Homes AZ provides warranty information, including warranty period and processes, as well as appliance and fan manuals.
Warranty
Trinity Homes AZ offers a 2-year warranty in line with Arizona Registrar of Contractors requirements. Upon Closeout, you’ll receive warranty information, and your Buildertrend portal/login opens for warranty claims submission.
Trinity conducts two standard warranty check-ins—at 6 months and 11 months. The 6-month check-in addresses non-emergency items, allowing you to discuss any issues you’ve noticed while partnering with Trinity Homes AZ. The 11-month check-in primarily focuses on drywall cracks, which are expected as your home settles.
Trinity Homes AZ strives to address warranty claims quickly, efficiently, and with care so that you are nothing short of satisfied at every step of the process.
